A reputable aerospace manufacturer is seeking a Senior/Lead Buyer to join their growing organization in Derby on a permanent basis.
The Buyer Team Leader will manage designated suppliers, purchase raw materials and components, and mentor two Buyers.
Candidates should have experience in a similar buyer role within the manufacturing industry and possess strong communication skills.
The position offers a salary dependent on experience, with working hours from Monday to Thursday, 7am to 4pm or 8am to 5pm, and Friday from 7am to 12pm.
Benefits include 23 days of holiday plus bank holidays, a company pension, and opportunities for internal training and development.

Effective day to day management of designated suppliers
Purchase a range of raw materials and components and identify cost reduction opportunities.
Lead monthly order book reviews with suppliers to identify performance improvements, supplier risks and mitigation plans.
Mentor and support 2 Buyers for their own professional development

Well versed carrying out a similar buyer position
Accomplished purchasing a range of components and/or raw materials
Experienced working within the manufacturing industry
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
