Senior Buyer Salary: up to £55,000 plus bonus Location: Derby, Hybrid SF recruitment are recruiting for a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Buyer to join a dynamic procurement team in a fast-paced, engineering-focused environment. The Role: You'll support the development and delivery of category strategies across key procurement areas. From managing supplier relationships to handling end-to-end procurement processes, you'll help drive cost efficiencies, improve quality, and ensure strong commercial outcomes. Key Responsibilities: -Deliver procurement strategies aligned with business goals -Manage full procurement lifecycle (RFP to supplier performance) -Collaborate with internal teams on sourcing, warranties, and supplier issues -Track and report supplier KPIs and escalate where needed -Support continuous improvement and sustainability initiatives -Contribute to wider business planning and budgeting What We're Looking For: -Extensive procurement experience, ideally in engineering -Strong knowledge of ERP systems -Commercially aware with strong negotiation and supplier management skills -Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational abilities -Experience in rail/rolling stock would be a bonus If you have the relevant experience for this please apply with an updated version of your CV and a member of the procurement team will be in touch with further details.
