Sonic Summary

The Newry, Mourne and Down District Council is seeking a Refuse Loader to support the Environmental Cleansing Service amid ongoing local government reforms.
The role requires flexibility and adaptability as duties may evolve with the organization's changing needs.
The postholder will ensure a safe and effective refuse collection service, including recycling activities, in all weather conditions.
Candidates should have at least one year of relevant experience in waste management or a similar field.
The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience.

In light of the on-going Reform of Local Government and the establishment of the new Newry, Mourne and Down District Council, it is expected that role will evolve and transform with on-going changes.

The post holder will therefore be expected to be flexible and adaptable to meet the changing needs and requirements of the organisation, and duties and responsibilities may vary without changing the purpose of the job or level of responsibility.

Working within the Environmental Cleansing Service (Refuse Collection) the postholder will be required to provide, in a safe and effective manner, a quality and effective refuse collection service including all recycling collection activities, in all weather conditions.
