• Daily Rate: £90 - £120 (dependent on experience)

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking confident, reliable, and adaptable Cover Supervisors to work on a supply basis across a range of secondary schools in Derby starting from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to gain classroom experience, support student learning, and enjoy flexible working.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that set work is completed and that students remain focused and engaged. This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced cover staff, or anyone with experience working with young people.

• Supervise lessons and manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

• Distribute and explain pre-set work left by the teacher

• Ensure a calm, productive learning environment is maintained

• Provide support to students as needed, without delivering new subject content

• Report back to teaching staff on student behaviour and lesson completion

• Previous experience working with secondary-aged pupils (schools, tutoring, coaching, etc.)

• Strong behaviour management and communication skills

• Ability to adapt to different school settings and follow instructions

• A flexible, proactive attitude and professional approach

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

• Competitive daily rates of £90 - £120 depending on experience

• Flexible working to suit your schedule - full or part-time availability welcomed
