We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistants to join our team to work with our partnership schools throughout the Derby area.The successful candidate will support teachers in delivering high-quality education and provide assistance to students to help them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the classroom teacher in planning and delivering lessons.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who need additional help
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Prepare and organize teaching materials and resources.
  • Support students with special educational needs (SEND) and adapt learning activities as required.
  • Supervise students during break times, field trips, and other school activities.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all students.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
  • Basic knowledge of child development and educational practices.

Minimum requirement

  • Registration interview
  • Must have 2 years worth of references
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS or be willing to apply
