We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Residential Support Worker to join our team in Derby, UK. As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to children in a residential setting. This is a permanent role with a competitive salary and additional sleep-in allowance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day running of the residential home, ensuring the safety and well-being of the children
  • Develop and implement care plans for each child, in collaboration with other team members and external professionals
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to children, promoting their personal, social, and educational development
  • Supervise and support a team of support workers, providing guidance, training, and feedback as needed
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including incident reports and progress notes
  • Liaise with external agencies and professionals to ensure the best possible care for the children
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
  • Ensure the home is clean, safe, and well-maintained at all times
  • Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working with children in a residential setting
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) or equivalent
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to supervise and support a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of child development and safeguarding procedures
