Field Care Manager – Homecare
Location: Near to Derby
Salary: £30,000 per year
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Are you an experienced care professional ready to take the next step into management? We are looking for a Field Care Manager to join a compassionate, values-driven team delivering outstanding homecare services in Derby. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead, develop, and support a team of carers while ensuring the highest standards of care for clients.
The Role
As a Field Care Manager, you’ll work closely with the management team to maintain and improve care quality across the service. You will be field-based, visiting clients and carers regularly to monitor care, offer support, and ensure that service standards are consistently exceeded.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting carer observations and client wellbeing checks on a monthly basis.
- Supporting carers through feedback, coaching, and training where needed.
- Ensuring care plans and documentation are accurate and up to date.
- Completing client assessments and risk assessments.
- Sharing on-call duties on a 4-week rolling rota (including evenings and weekends – paid additionally).
- Liaising with health and social care professionals to find the best solutions for clients.
- Supporting team morale and development.
- Assisting with client complaints and investigations.
- Covering care calls and client introductions when required.
- Mileage reimbursed for travel between visits.
What We’re Looking For
- At least 3 years’ direct hands-on care experience supporting individuals in health or social care.
- Minimum 1 year in a management position, with experience leading teams.
- Confident in having constructive conversations and providing feedback.
- Experience conducting observations and assessments in the field.
- Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or working towards it).
- Strong organisational, communication, and IT skills.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car.
Desirable:
- Ambition to complete Level 5 qualification and progress to Deputy Manager in the future.
