You'll be working closely with the Head of IT Service Delivery and other key leaders within the Trust. You'll also be the go-to person for the academy's IT Support Technician and apprentice. An onsite role, candidates with previous education sector knowledge preferred. Ability to pass an enhanced DBS is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the consistent and reliable operation of all academy IT infrastructure, including installation, upgrades, and timely resolution of technical faults.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for IT support requests from staff and students, providing effective and efficient solutions to a range of technical issues.
- Contribute to the strategic development and implementation of technology within the academy, including the evaluation and piloting of new technologies to enhance operational efficiency and educational outcomes.
- Participate in the planning and maintenance of the academy's network infrastructure, ensuring its future scalability and security. Implement and maintain robust data security protocols.
- Develop and deliver training and resources (e.g., guides, videos) to enhance staff and student proficiency in the effective use of technology.
- Directly manage and support the IT Support Technician, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise to ensure the delivery of high-quality IT support services.
The Role:
- Demonstrable experience and a strong understanding of IT systems and networking principles.
- Practical experience with Microsoft Intune for device management.
- Hands-on experience in the maintenance and support of a diverse range of ICT equipment.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a commitment to resolving technical issues effectively.
- The ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely to individuals with varying levels of technical understanding.
- A proactive approach to maintaining system security and ensuring software and hardware are up-to-date.
