Sonic Summary

The job role is for a Vehicle Mechanic located in Derby, Derbyshire.
The salary ranges from £30,000 to £50,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Candidates are required to have a minimum of 3 years of experience working on class 4 and 7 vehicles.
The position offers a full-time, permanent role with additional benefits, including a pension scheme, ongoing training, and 28 days of annual leave.
Duties include performing maintenance, service, and repairs, while also collaborating with fellow mechanics and communicating effectively with customers.

Location: Derby, Derbyshire
Salary: £30,000-£50,000 per annum
Hours: 8:00-17:30 Monday-Friday + 1 in 4 Saturdays 8:00-13:00
Job Type: Full time, Permanent

The Duties:

To carry out maintenance, service and repair on an array of class 4 & 7 motors vehicles.
Clutches changes, gearbox replacements, wheel alignment, engine fault finding and repair alongside general motor works
To work closely with fellow mechanics and site members to ensure time frames for repairs are communicated clearly alongside quoting customers effectively.
Attend company training and development where necessary
To work alone and as part of a team

Requirements:

Previous experience as a vehicle mechanic working on class 4/7 vehicles for a minimum of 3 years
Relevant qualifications (Motor Vehicle repair & maintenance etc NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds) would be advantageous but NOT essential
Team player and open for growth & development
Ability to carry out vehicle diagnostics
