Location: Dereham

Hours: Monday to Friday, 47.5 hour week – 06:30AM – 16:30PM

Salary: £12.50 an hour, weekly pay

An excellent opportunity has now arisen for an experienced Transport Administrator to join a well-established business based in Dereham.

Duties of an Transport Administrator:

  • Plan and schedule daily transport operations: route scheduling, vehicle allocation, driver assignments.
  • Liaise with suppliers, customers, internal departments to coordinate pick-ups and deliveries.
  • Monitor journey schedules to ensure on-time delivery; proactively manage delays or issues
  • Manage transport documentation
  • Ensure compliance with transport legislation
  • Track and monitor transport costs and identify opportunities for cost saving and efficiency improvements.
  • Maintain accurate records and data: transport schedules, KPIs.
  • Handle communication with drivers ensuring they are informed of itineraries, changes, and safety requirements

What we would like from you:

  • Previous experience in transport/fleet coordination, logistics, or related role.
  • Good organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal & written.
  • Attention to detail, problem solving skills, proactive mindset.
  • IT literacy: MS Office (especially Excel) and Planning software and SAGE ideally
