Job Title: Maintenance Multi-Skilled Technician (Electrical Bias Preferred)

Salary: 18.37 per hour (PAYE)
Contract Length: 12 months (Very likely to extend)
Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 06:30 - 15:00
Friday: 06:30 - 12:00
Occasional overtime available
Start Date: ASAP
Work Type: Fully site-based (non-negotiable)
About the Role
We are currently expanding our dynamic maintenance team and seeking two self-motivated, proactive Maintenance Technicians with an electrical bias or strong PLC experience. You'll be part of an inclusive and growing department modernising systems and driving integration and automation.
This is a varied role offering exposure to both planned and reactive maintenance across a large manufacturing site. You'll work closely with a team of 30+ engineers, contributing to continuous improvement and ensuring optimal operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
Provide both electrical and mechanical maintenance support to equipment and facilities
Diagnose and repair breakdowns quickly and effectively
Conduct routine and preventative maintenance using a computerised maintenance management system (CMMS)
Order replacement parts and manage stocks
Adhere strictly to Health & Safety protocols
Contribute to ongoing improvement projects and integration of new systems
Undertake additional training and upskilling as required
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
NVQ Level 3 / HNC / HND in a relevant engineering field
Demonstrable hands-on electrical and mechanical maintenance experience
Ability to read technical diagrams and follow policies and procedures
Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills
Excellent team collaboration and communication
Desirable:
Completed multi-year accredited apprenticeship
Familiarity with PLC systems (advantageous)
Experience working with Microsoft Office and willingness to train on in-house systems
