As a Mentor you will:
- Build trusting, supportive relationships with assigned students
- Encourage engagement with school and programme activities
- Support social-emotional development and well-being
- Provide consistent, reliable mentorship tailored to individual needs
- Collaborate with schools and programme staff to monitor progress
About you:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Empathy, patience, and a non-judgemental attitude
- Experience working with young people (preferred but not essential)
- Ability to commit to regular mentoring sessions
- A genuine desire to make a positive impact
Position - Mentor

Full time/part-time - Multiple roles available- from 1 hour per week up to 15 hours per week
Hours - Monday to Friday
Essential & Desirable Qualifications:
- A background in youth work/ support work is highly desirable
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working within UK schools
- Experience working with learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN)/ SEMH needs is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enthusiasm, compassion and positivity are essential, along with a calm nature
To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:
- Hold right to work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide references upon request
- Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
