We're working with a fantastic specialist school in Rowde that supports students aged 11-18 with Severe Learning Disabilities (SLDs) and Autism. They are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Autism Support Worker to join their friendly, experienced team as soon as possible.
The Autism Support Worker role is a full-time, term-time role that gives you the chance to work in a nurturing and inclusive environment where every day brings something new and rewarding.
Key Details for an Autism Support Worker
- Start Date: ASAP
- Hours: Full-time, 08:30-15:00 (Monday-Friday, term-time only)
- Pay: 85-100 per day (depending on experience)
- Location: Rowde
As an Autism Support Worker, you will:
- Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to students
- Help build communication and social interaction skills
- Promote independence and a sense of safety within the learning environment
- Support students in managing their emotions and behaviours
- Work closely with teachers and parents to ensure the best possible outcomes
Te role of Autism Support Worker is ideal for someone who:
- Is a strong communicator with a calm, patient manner
- Is organised, adaptable, and ready to rise to daily challenges
- Has a Grade C/Level 4 or above in GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)
- Has experience working with children or young people (particularly those with additional needs)
- Genuinely cares about supporting young people with Autism and SEN
