Job Title: Maintenance Assistant
Location: Devizes
Days: 07:30 - 16:30 Monday - Thursday and 07:30 - 12:30 Fridays
Duration: Temporary 6 months (possibility to extend)
Pay Rate: 15.14 per hour
About the Role
We're recruiting for a Maintenance Assistant to join a world-leading manufacturing company in Devizes on a 6-month temporary contract.
You'll work as part of an experienced maintenance team, supporting with general site maintenance, equipment servicing, and small installation projects. This is a hands-on, varied role that will suit someone practical, reliable, and confident with basic plumbing and building maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine facilities and plant maintenance across the site
- Support with plumbing work (hot and cold water systems, drainage, etc.)
- Assist with equipment installations and repairs
- Help maintain the building, grounds, and general site facilities
- Work safely and follow company procedures at all times
- Support other team members and on-site contractors when required
- Keep basic maintenance records and update job logs
Skills & Experience required
- Hands-on experience in general maintenance or facilities work
- Plumbing experience (essential)
- Basic mechanical skills or plant knowledge (desirable)
- Good attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Organised, reliable, and able to work independently or in a team
- Flexible and willing to assist across different maintenance tasks
