About the Role of a Reception Assistant:
Engage Education is currently recruiting an enthusiastic Reception Assistant to work full-time in a welcoming and supportive primary school in Dewsbury. We’ve been matching high-quality support staff with schools for over a decade, and we’re proud of our strong reputation in the local area.
We are looking for a committed and caring Reception Assistant to support young learners in their early years of education, helping them develop socially, emotionally, and academically.
Duties as a Reception Assistant may include:
- Supporting Reception class teachers in delivering engaging lessons
- Working with small groups of pupils to support early learning
- Providing 1:1 support for individual children as needed
- Assisting with classroom activities, play, and general supervision
- Helping children with personal, social, and emotional development
The ideal applicant will have:
- Some experience working with early years or primary-aged children
- A genuine passion for helping children thrive in their first years of school
- Creativity and enthusiasm to engage young learners
- A Level 2 or 3 qualification in supporting teaching and learning (or equivalent)
