Alexander James Recruiting are currently working with a national dealer of a leading forklift product that are looking to bring on a new Workshop Engineer based in their West Yorkshire depot. With a competitive basic salary and great earning potential through overtime opportunities, this is a great opportunity for an engineer looking to get into a new role or industry with progression potential.
Responsibilities
- Servicing a fleet of forklift trucks from the company’s depot in West Yorkshire
- Servicing other material handling equipment as and when required
- Repairing and restoring damaged forklifts so that they a ready for resale
- Cooperating with the Service Manager and Workshop Manager to ensure service is carried out efficiently
- Maintaining a safe and tidy workbench and overall workshop
Requirements
The company have a preference for an individual with experience within the Material Handling industry, however this isn’t essential. They would also be interested in speaking with candidates with a background in plant hire, powered access, commercial vehicles or other industries with a strong hydraulics/mechanical or diagnostics focus. Another option the company would consider would be a recently qualified engineer looking to get into something long term and building a career. In terms of location, you will ideally be based in West Yorkshire.

- Competitive salary (up to £32k depending on experience)
- Overtime opportunity paid time and a half over 40 hours
