Cabinet Maker / Bench Joiner

Are you a skilled and enthusiastic Bench Joiner or Furniture Maker with a sharp eye for detail and a genuine passion for craftsmanship? Are you seeking a new opportunity with a well-established, forward-thinking company? If so, our client would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manufacture high-quality furniture and joinery in accordance with detailed design specifications.

  • Select and work with a wide range of timber, ensuring appropriate treatment and finishing techniques are applied.

  • Operate various woodworking tools and machinery to achieve precise cuts, joints, and finishes.

  • Collaborate with the design team to bring bespoke furniture concepts to life.

  • Maintain a tidy and safe workshop environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols.

  • Inspect and carry out repairs to furniture as required, ensuring all pieces meet quality standards.

  • Contribute positively to a cooperative and supportive team culture.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Bench Joiner, Cabinet Maker, or in a similar woodworking role.

  • Competence in using a broad range of woodworking machinery and hand tools.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to producing work of the highest quality.

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.

  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently when needed.

  • Sound knowledge of timber types and their characteristics.

  • Strong work ethic and reliability, with a focus on meeting deadlines.

  • A team player with excellent communication skills.

  • Experience with custom or bespoke furniture projects would be an advantage.
