  • We are looking for a Temporary Electronics Engineer for a duration of 6-8 weeks, requiring experience in mixed-signal board design.
  • The position involves developing a specialized test board for radiation testing, focusing on components like the Analog Devices AD9082 and Marvell 88E1111.
  • Candidates should have proven experience in mixed-signal hardware design and a strong understanding of high-speed ADC/DAC design.
  • Familiarity with digital communications hardware and the ability to work independently on prototype development are essential skills for this role.
  • The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience, with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience required.

We are seeking a Temporary Electronics Engineer for 6-8 weeks with experience in mixed-signal board design to support the development of a specialised test board for a focused radiation testing application.

This role involves working with two key components:

  • Analog Devices AD9082 (High-speed DAC/ADC)
  • Marvell 88E1111 (Ethernet Transceiver)

Please note: This is not a full-featured implementation. The board is to support a reduced functionality set, based on a specific, application-oriented scenario, to facilitate upcoming radiation tests. We are targeting only the relevant features required for this purpose.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop a compact test board for a bespoke test scenario
  • Implement limited functionality of the AD9082 and 88E1111 components
  • Collaborate with the internal team to understand and translate test objectives into board requirements
  • Prepare documentation to support testing and review processes

Essential Skills:

  • Proven experience in mixed-signal hardware design
  • Strong understanding of high-speed ADC/DAC design (preferably with the AD9082 or similar devices)
  • Competence in digital communications hardware, including Ethernet interfaces (e.g., Marvell 88E1111)
  • Ability to work independently on focused prototype development
  • Familiarity with radiation testing environments is a plus, but not essential

This is an excellent opportunity to apply your skills in a targeted and time-critical project, contributing to the development of advanced testing infrastructure for space or high-reliability applications.
