Our client, a prominent player in the automotive and aerospace sectors, is currently seeking a Composite Trimmer to join their team in Oxfordshire. This is a permanent position offering a great opportunity to work on high-quality components in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Trim, bond, and finish components in the Trim Shop department to a high-quality standard, adhering to all standard operations and procedures
  • Manufacture, assemble and build specialist parts using engineering drawings and associated design data to meet business and customer expectations
  • Support Production Managers and Team Leaders in ensuring all parts are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standard
  • Take an active role in continuous improvements
  • Ensure equipment and tooling are maintained and any issues are identified to the line manager
  • Attend and support production meetings if required
  • Maintain component traceability and adhere to company procedures in all work carried out
  • Comply fully with company policies, including Health and Safety, at all times
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as required


Job Requirements:

  • Experience in trimming within the Aerospace or Automotive industry
  • Mechanical, fitting or joining experience in Aerospace, Automotive or similar industries
  • Competent skills gained through training and experience, with the ability to communicate within a team
  • Understanding of workshop policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of production methods and processes
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and associated design data
  • Understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and process-driven business methods
  • Ability to provide training, guidance and assistance to co-workers as required


Desirable:

  • Experience in the composites industry
  • Experience working within ISO: 9001 and AS9100 standards
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Commercial awareness and excellent problem-solving skills
