Job Title: HGV/PSV Engineer
Location: Didcot

Salary: 25 p/h per hour (Monday to Friday) and 28.75 (Weekends)
Hours: 40-50 hours per week (4 on - 4 off - 5am - 5pm)

Alecto Recruitment are working with our client in finding a highly motivated and skilled HGV/PSV Engineer to join their dedicated Engineering team. This is a key role involving the inspection, diagnosis, and quality repair of their fleet of company vehicles, ensuring all work meets Company and Department for Transport standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect, diagnose, and carry out effective repairs to our vehicle fleet
  • Ensure all work complies with safety and operational standards
  • Maintain high levels of accuracy and quality in all tasks
  • Collaborate with other engineers and departments to ensure efficient fleet operations
  • Work independently with minimal supervision

Requirements

  • City & Guilds Level 3 / NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (essential)
  • Experience working with PCV or HGV vehicles (essential)
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • PCV licence (desirable)
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and prioritise tasks
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
