Residential Property Solicitor / Legal Executive - Didcot, OxfordshireFull Time | Permanent | Office Based | Competitive Salary + Bonus SchemeA well-established and highly regarded high street law firm in Oxfordshire is seeking an experienced Residential Property Solicitor or Legal Executive to join their thriving team based in Didcot. The RoleThe successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload of residential conveyancing matters, including:

  • Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
  • New build transactions
  • Re-mortgages and transfers of equity
  • Shared ownership and Help to Buy schemes
  • Lease extensions and related transactions

This is an office-based position (Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, 35 hours per week), reporting to the Head of Residential Property. While part of a wider department, the role offers a good level of autonomy, with access to a centralised completions team and comprehensive in-house support.

Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate will:

  • Be a qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Licensed Conveyancer (ideally 6+ years PQE, although those with less experience and relevant expertise will be considered)
  • Demonstrate strong technical ability and knowledge of all areas of residential property law
  • Be confident managing a full caseload with minimal supervision
  • Have recent experience with case management systems and a solid grasp of compliance procedures
  • Be personable, commercially aware, and motivated to build strong relationships with clients and contacts in the local community
  • Take a conscientious, professional, and client-focused approach to their work

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising clients from initial instruction through to completion
  • Drafting and reviewing all relevant legal documentation
  • Ensuring all file management and compliance duties are met
  • Supporting business development and marketing initiatives within the local area
  • Meeting realistic fee targets in line with a structured bonus scheme
