About the Role
Our client, based near Didcot, is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join their dynamic team on a permanent, full-time basis. You'll be working across a varied site environment that includes manufacturing areas, clean rooms, laboratories, offices, and plant rooms, all maintained to stringent standards due to the nature of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
Execute PPM activities as per the maintenance specification
Use PDA to log real-time progress including start/wait/stop times and detailed completion notes
Documentation & Reporting
Complete all paperwork for PPM, reactive tasks, and breakdowns
Submit reports to the Contract Administrator and ensure all e-forms are accurately filled
Customer & System Updates
Keep the CAFM (Computer-Aided Facilities Management) system updated with real-time task progress
Clearly log all work details and ensure proper communication of follow-up actions
Reactive Maintenance & Continuous Improvement
Respond to reactive tasks efficiently and propose improvements
Log and report plant failures using official channels and tools
Fault & Defect Management
Quickly resolve plant faults to maintain operational status
Work within delegated authority or as authorized by the client
On-Call Participation
Join the emergency on-call rota as required

Air Handling Units (AHUs)
Water Treatment & Pumps (including temperature testing & flushing)
