- Manufacture fibre-based components (Carbon Fibre, Glass Fibre, Aramid Fibre) using methods such as layup, resin impregnation, VARTM, or autoclave curing, followed by finishing processes
- Produce simple tooling, moulds, and patterns using epoxy or foam-based materials
- Support the assembly of both R&D and space flight hardware
- Assist in writing Manufacturing Assembly Procedures (MAPs) and Test Procedures
- Provide facility management support and contribute to process improvements
- Work with Project PA Managers to define and document qualified MAIT processes
- Participate in customer and internal reviews, and visit subcontractors/suppliers as needed
- Demonstrate flexibility with occasional long days or weekends to meet project schedules
- Strong engineering discipline with significant experience in assembling precision components
- Proven expertise in composites manufacturing and the use of detailed assembly procedures
- Comprehensive understanding of engineering drawings, surface finishes, tolerances, and materials
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a pragmatic, logical approach
- Exceptional interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills
- Strong organisational and multi-tasking abilities with the capacity to work independently and plan ahead
- Apprenticeship training in Mechanical Engineering is highly advantageous
- Previous experience in the space industry with knowledge of ECSS standards
- Understanding of aerospace processes and components
- Eligibility to gain security clearance (must have been resident in the UK for at least 5 years)
