We are seeking a highly motivated Process Engineer to join a worldwide pharmaceutical organisation based in Harwell, Oxfordshire. This is an initial 6-month contract opportunity with the potential for a permanent role.

As a critical engineering owner, you will provide subject matter expertise and hands-on support for GMP manufacturing equipment, ensuring operability and reliability across process platforms, driving issue resolution, continuous improvement, and operational readiness.

Key Duties:

  • Provide engineering support for critical GMP manufacturing equipment (e.g., Ultrafiltration, Chromatography, Fermenters).
  • Serve as Engineering Owner for process equipment used in our Norwood manufacturing facility.
  • Deliver day-to-day floor support, ensuring continued operation and uptime.
  • Lead small-to-medium sized technical projects and author high-quality technical documents.
  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical/process issues, manage change controls, and participate in tech transfer activities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of preventative maintenance strategies.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering is ideal, but strong Process Engineer experience within a GMP/GxP environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and technical writing skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a structured approach to investigations.
