Role: IT Infrastructure and Services Lead- Telecommunications SME in Penarth, South Wales
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum + Bonus (all negotiable based on experience and fit)
Location: Penarth (CF64)
Working Pattern: 5 days a week in the office (some flexibility upon request)
Our client is a well-established telecommunications SME based in Penarth, South Wales, with a loyal and growing client base. As part of their ongoing expansion, they are now launching a new portfolio of IT managed services. With strong foundations in place and a market primed for growth, they are seeking a motivated and technically skilled individual to lead the design, development, and delivery of modern IT infrastructure solutions across cloud and on-premise environments.
About the Role
This is a hands-on, client-facing leadership role that blends technical delivery with business development. As the IT Infrastructure and Services Lead, you will take ownership of service design, pre-sales consultancy, implementation, and client success. You'll work closely with existing clients to scope and deliver tailored IT solutions that align with their business objectives, while helping to shape and grow a new business unit within a trusted company.
Your responsibilities will include
- Engaging in pre-sales technical discussions, scoping out client requirements, and crafting tailored solutions.
- Delivering and managing the implementation of services such as Microsoft 365, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Azure, Cyber Security and more.
- Providing expert guidance throughout the lifecycle of projects, from initial engagement to final delivery.
- Leading technical reviews with clients, ensuring that all solutions meet their needs.
- Collaborating with both internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Identifying and driving new business opportunities within their established client base, expanding the services offered
