In this key role, the Financial Accountant will work as part of the Financial Accounts team, contributing to external reporting, cash flow management, and the oversight of technical areas within the balance sheet. You'll collaborate with stakeholders across and outside the business to ensure accurate, timely reporting while driving improvements in technical accounting processes. The role will also support Investor Relations and Sustainability Reporting initiatives.
The role offers a competitive salary of up to £55,000, 25 days holiday, hybrid working, and a wide range of additional benefits.
Key Responsibilities:-
Prepare external reporting, including the CVS Group Annual Report and subsidiary financial statements.

Complete monthly IFRS 16 accounting tasks, including journal entries and account reconciliations, ensuring appropriate treatment of costs and escalation of judgment areas.

Support the Integration Accountant by reviewing seller-prepared completion accounts and agreeing final consideration payments.

Maintain a strong understanding of technical standards such as IFRS 16, research IFRS requirements, and prepare technical papers for committee review.

Take ownership of technical balance sheet areas and ensure accurate reconciliations.

Perform complex technical calculations and models (e.g. share-based payments, hedge accounting).

Assist with daily cash flow forecasting and the management of loan facilities.

Provide support on ad hoc projects and tasks across the wider finance team.

Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).

Strong technical knowledge, particularly in IFRS.

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple, often conflicting deadlines.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to varied stakeholders.
Advanced proficiency in Excel.
