We are partnering with a leading, fast-growing business operating across the UK and internationally, which has a strong track record of strategic acquisitions and a highly supportive, development-focused finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified ACCA/CIMA accountant looking to progress their career in a commercially focused, analytical finance role. Full training will be provided, including in financial modelling, business valuation, and acquisition processes.
The Role
Working closely with the senior finance team and Acquisition Directors, the Assistant Finance Analyst will support the financial evaluation of target businesses and play a key role in the acquisition lifecycle. You’ll be exposed to a wide variety of work including due diligence, forecasting, and post-deal performance monitoring.
Key Responsibilities

Analyse financials of acquisition targets, including revenue, cost and profit trends

Assist in preparing valuations, forecasts and investment proposals

Support the development and maintenance of financial models and performance tracking tools

Collaborate with finance, tax, legal and operational teams to ensure smooth acquisition processes

Maintain up-to-date data on pipeline deals and acquisition performance

Contribute to ad hoc projects, reporting improvements and stakeholder presentations

Provide administrative and analytical support to the acquisition team
Ideal Candidate

Part-qualified ACCA/CIMA or equivalent
-
At least 2 years' experience in a finance role (FP&A, financial analysis, or management accounts)

Strong Excel skills and comfortable working with large data sets

Excellent attention to detail and communication skills

Proactive and highly organised, with the ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities

Experience in M&A or financial modelling is not essential – full training provided
