Commercial Estimator - Landscaping
Location: Ballyclare, BT39 0RA
Salary: 42,500 - 47,500 + Car Allowance
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday 9-5
Contract: Permanent
About the role:
Our Client, a reputable company specialising in landscaping projects, is hiring for a Commercial Estimator to join their team in Ballyclare. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with a passion for soft landscaping to contribute to exciting projects and grow within a dynamic organisation.
What you'll be doing:
* Analyse tender documents, drawings, and specifications for soft landscaping works
* Prepare detailed cost estimates covering materials, labour, plant, and subcontractors
* Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive quotations
* Conduct site visits to assess project scope and potential risks
* Evaluate project commercial viability and identify cost-saving opportunities
* Collaborate with the Commercial Director, Contracts Managers, and Design Teams
* Attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings with clients and stakeholders
* Support the handover process of successful tenders to the delivery team
* Maintain accurate records of tenders and prepare reports for senior management
What you'll bring:
* Proven experience in estimating landscaping projects, including commercial, public realm, or residential works
* Basic understanding of horticulture, turfing, and soil preparation
* Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Conquest, Excel)
* Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills
* Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Desired qualifications:
* Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
* Full UK driving licence
* Willingness to travel to North England occasionally
