Group Financial Accountant

A large distribution company in Doncaster have a vacancy for 18 months for a Group Financial Accountant. This is a maternity cover and is hybrid/flexible working 

• Responsible for maintenance of the general ledger accounts for UK Group’s legal entities in line with UKGAAP and IFRS.
• Preparation of quarterly management and annual audited UKGAAP consolidated accounts
• Management of the process to produce monthly Group reporting accurately
• Ensure reporting compliance with Group accounting policies.
• Engage with both internal and external auditors to ensure quarterly reviews and statutory audits
• Manage the Group Finance team in the preparation of the annual statutory accounts for the UK Group.
• Managing continuous improvement and change projects within the Group Finance function

We are looking for candidates from the following background;

• ACA/ACCA Qualified
• Knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP. Knowledge of defined benefit pension schemes an advantage.
• Experience of managing workloads to tight deadlines.
• Good IT skills including Excel, Word
