Senior Management Accountant | Doncaster | c£65,000

We’re supporting a leading UK manufacturer with the recruitment of a Senior Management Accountant — a key, senior finance role based across three major sites in Doncaster.

This is a brilliant opportunity for a qualified accountant with commercial instincts and a hands-on approach to step into a visible, high-impact role within a £200m+ turnover business.

Why this role?

It’s more than just numbers. This is your chance to shape financial strategy in real-time — providing the kind of insight that influences decisions on the ground. Working closely with Operations, Commercial, and Sales teams, you'll be right at the heart of driving performance, supporting strategic planning, and unlocking efficiencies across the business.

You’ll also lead on forecasting, budgeting, and capital expenditure planning, while overseeing a team and contributing to wider group reporting.

There also excellent opportunties for career progression in this role.

What we’re looking for:

  • A qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
  • Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and P&L ownership
  • Excellent Excel and data handling skills
  • Clear communicator who can translate complexity into action
  • Experience in a manufacturing or operationally complex environment (SKU costing a bonus)
  • Comfortable working on-site in a fast-paced, commercially driven setting

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading budgeting and forecasting cycles
  • Producing monthly performance packs and business insight
  • Monitoring gross sales, customer rebates, material costs, and labour efficiency
  • Supporting short-term cash flow forecasting and capital expenditure management
  • Acting as a finance business partner to key operational leads
  • Leading a small finance team and championing continuous improvement

This role offers autonomy, variety, and senior exposure — ideal for someone ready to move beyond the routine and into a role that genuinely shapes business performance.
