We are seeking a highly organised and customer-focused Transport & Customer Service Coordinator to join our client and act as the vital link between our transport operations and our valued customers. If you enjoy coordinating logistics, building strong relationships, and ensuring smooth delivery operations, this could be the perfect role for you!

 

Job Description of a Transport & Customer Service Coordinator 

  • Arrange and book deliveries with haulage companies, manufacturers, and power coaters
  • Coordinate site bookings and communicate with customer or site contacts.
  • Act as the first point of contact for customer queries via phone or email regarding deliveries.
  • Keep customers updated on shipment status, potential issues, and service updates.
  • Maintain and update Excel spreadsheets and the Statii system for deliveries.
  • Print delivery notes and coordinate with the factory manager regarding ready goods.
  • Provide delivery quotations, proof of delivery, and regular status updates.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction.

 

Key Requirements of a Transport & Customer Service Coordinator 

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of vehicle weight, capacity, and efficient route planning is beneficial.
  • Computer literate, able to update spreadsheets and logistics systems accurately.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and coordinate effectively between customers and transport teams.
  • FLT license or previous logistics experience is desirable but not essential.

Hours of work 

Monday – Friday

7.30am – 4pm
