Nursery Manager - Doncaster Early Years Lead

We are seeking an enthusiastic, passionate team player with a love for working with children to join a nursery based in Doncaster that Academics support as a Nursery Manager. The ideal candidate will have prior nursery experience and a strong background in early childhood education. We are looking for someone creative, nurturing, and dedicated to creating a stimulating environment that encourages and supports the development of young minds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations and management of the nursery to ensure its smooth and efficient running.

  • Ensure the safety, well-being, and happiness of all children in the nursery.

  • Maintain up-to-date office records and ensure relevant correspondence is passed on to the owners.

  • Lead and support the nursery staff team to deliver high-quality care and education, maintaining the nursery's excellent local reputation.

  • Stay informed on statutory regulations, Ofsted guidance, and revisions to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

  • Encourage a culture of inclusion and ensure that all practices support a diverse environment.

  • Foster positive relationships with children, staff, and families, maintaining professional discretion and confidentiality at all times.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People's Workforce (or equivalent).

  • Paediatric First Aid (can be completed upon hiring).

  • Designated Safeguarding and Child Protection Certificate (can be completed during registration).

  • Previous management experience in an early years setting (ideally within a private nursery).

  • Strong knowledge of EYFS and Ofsted guidance, along with child protection and safeguarding protocols.

  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal.

  • Ability to lead and motivate a team, ensuring continuous professional development.

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, with a good understanding of IT.
