Estimator (Rail)

Salary bracket: 50,000 pa - 60,000 pa + car allowance

Location: Doncaster

Opportunity for an experienced Estimator (accustomed to working on Rail Projects), to join the Commercial Team of a multinational company in the Infrastructure Sector, to manage bids from inception to submission and navigate communication with internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong previous experience as an Estimator ideally in Rail/Construction
  • Strong IT skills (estimating software, CAD, etc.).
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and multitasking abilities.
  • Degree in Construction Management (or equivalent) and/or professional accreditation (RICS, ACostE, ICES) preferred.

Main responsibilities involved in the role:

  • Identify and develop tender opportunities for frameworks and rail projects.
  • Analyse drawings, specifications, and rail standards to produce accurate estimates.
  • Coordinate inputs from technical, commercial, and project teams.
  • Build relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to optimise pricing.
  • Oversee tender documentation, site visits, and settlement meetings.
