Join our team as a Cook and play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation of our catering services. This position is key to maintaining high guest satisfaction while managing costs effectively. As a Cook, you will be involved in all aspects of meal preparation, adhering to strict health, safety, and food hygiene standards.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Collaborate with the Catering Manager and Head Chef to plan menus that cater to various dietary needs, ensuring meals are nutritious and diverse.
  • Prepare, cook, and serve a range of dishes, including main meals, snacks, and desserts, following specific menus.
  • Control food portions and quantities, adapting to dietary requirements as necessary.
  • Uphold cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas to meet health and safety standards.
  • Comply with statutory inspections and implement necessary changes.
  • Maintain high standards of sanitation, health, and safety in all work areas.
  • Execute food preparation tasks such as washing, cutting, and preparing ingredients.
  • Manage the stocking and restocking of workstations and display cases.
  • Handle the ordering and receipt of kitchen supplies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a kitchen environment, ideally serving large numbers.
  • A positive attitude and a commitment to providing high-quality, nutritious meals.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with team members.
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is preferred.
  • Familiarity with health and safety procedures relevant to the role, including manual handling, safe use of machinery/equipment, COSHH, First Aid, and Hygiene Practices.
