I am currently working with a fantastic village primary school in the Isle of Axholme who are looking to recruit an Early Years Practitioner to join their team ASAP until at least the summer holidays. The school are looking for someone who has a background of working in EYFS and who holds a minimum of a level 2 childcare certificate, or equivalent.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Deliver engaging and educational activities within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Monitor and assess children's progress and development through observation and structured activities.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to plan and coordinate lessons and materials.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their children's progress and daily activities.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and inviting classroom environment.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum Level 2 qualification in Childcare or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in an EYFS setting.
  • Strong understanding of the developmental needs and safety guidelines for early years children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Passionate about early childhood education and committed to providing high-quality care.
