Finance Manager

Location: Doncaster

We’re looking for a hands-on Finance Manager to lead and develop a growing team of trainee accountants and ensure the smooth running of the accounting and finance systems for a large financial services business in Doncaster. What you’ll be doing:
  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of 6 trainee accountants
  • Oversee monthly management accounts, including income statements and balance sheets
  • Cashflow forecasting – weekly and monthly
  • Ensure accuracy of high-volume purchase and sales ledgers
  • Liaise with auditors and key stakeholders, including the CEO
  • VAT compliance and preparation of regulatory returns (ONS, FCA)
  • Present financial information to senior leadership
  • Drive process improvements and deliver change projects
What we’re looking for:
  • Part-Qualified ACCA / CIMA or AAT Level 3 or 4
  • Previous experience in a financial services business is preferred but not essential
  • Strong team leadership skills – experience managing a small team
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (essential)
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central and Sage (desirable)
  • Skilled communicator with the ability to engage at all levels
  • A logical decision-maker with excellent organisational skills
