Your new role
Will consist of;

  • Oversee the production of monthly management accounts and accompanying commentary, ensuring adherence to reporting deadlines for multiple operating companies.
  • Generate regular and ad-hoc reports, including weekly cash-flow forecasts and cost analyses.
  • Manage and develop processing and junior reporting staff.
  • Continuously review processes to foster an environment of ongoing improvement.
  • Deliver change projects effectively.
  • Ensure efficient operations, including bank controls and reconciliations, VAT returns, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare year-end statutory accounts and liaise with auditors.
  • Develop and maintain detailed procedural documents for all responsibilities.


What you'll need to succeed
Skills and Competencies
Exceptional interpersonal skills for building successful, mutually beneficial business relationships at all levels.
Proactive planning and time management abilities.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Diligent and have an eye for detail.
Up-to-date knowledge of accounting and regulatory standards.
Understanding business and financial issues.
Proficient in Excel.
Hard-working and dedicated.
Experience of managing at least 3 members of staff.

Qualifications

Studying towards AAT/ACCA/CIMA, qualification is advantageous, with support offered through to completion.

Technical Knowledge

Strong understanding of bookkeeping and management accounts.
Experience in Insurance/Financial Services is a plus.
