Elevation Senior Finance are delighted to be the retained partner to Omega PLC as they look to recruit a Finance Manager for the head office in Doncaster.

Omega PLC was founded in 1992 and has since grown to become one of the UK’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of high-quality kitchens. The business has invested heavily in both it’s manufacturing and warehouse facilities to enable continued growth over years to come.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Finance Manager role is a key position for the business.  The successful candidate will take responsibility for all statutory and month-end reporting as well as being responsible for managing the transactional finance team. In time, the responsibilities in the role are likely to increase, and as a result this role will suit a candidate who is looking for long-term career progression.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of the statutory accounts under IFRS framework
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, with appropriate detailed commentary on business performance
  • Lead, manage and develop the transactional finance team
  • Management of the external audit process
  • Control of Fixed Assets
  • Preparation of tax computations in collaboration with tax advisors
  • Control and submission of VAT returns
  • Completion of National Statistics reporting
  • Day-to-day treasury management including forecasting, reconciliations, payments, receipts, foreign payments and reporting
  • Responsibility for overseeing Financial Accounting functions and compliance with corporate policies, regulatory and government filings
  • Take the lead for ensuring the business is aware of any changes to accounting standards
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory and governmental filings such as VAT, Corporation Tax, VAT, CIS, PAYE, P11D, PSA, etc. in a timely manner to deadlines
  • Development of financial processes including systems development and implementation
  • Day to day support of Credit Control, Purchase Ledger and Applications functions
  • Point of contact for external relationships with auditors, banks, HMRC and other stakeholders

Key skills / qualifications:

  • Fully qualified chartered Accountant
  • Strong technical accounting skills – Practice / audit trained preferred
  • Ability to communication with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to successfully manage and lead a team
  • IT literate including strong Excel skills
