Class 1 Driver

Job Title: HGV Class 1 Driver (Flexible Role Includes Class 2 Work)
Location: Doncaster
Pay Rate:£17.00 per hour overtime paid at £25.50
Start Times: Between 06:00 and 08:00

We are seeking a flexible and dependable HGV Class 1 driver to join our transport team in Doncaster. This is a mixed-role position that includes both Class 1 trunking and Class 2 delivery work, depending on the needs of the business. Regardless of the duties on the day, the pay remains at £17.00 per hourovertime paid at £25.50.

Role Overview:

• Duties will include a combination of Class 1 trunking and Class 2 multi-drop deliveries.
• You will work with a drivers mate when required, particularly on Class 2 delivery runs.
• Shifts begin between 06:00 and 08:00, offering consistent daytime hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate Class 1 (C+E) and Class 2 (C) vehicles as needed.
• Complete trunking routes or delivery rounds depending on the daily schedule.
• Maintain professional standards in safety, paperwork, and customer service.
• Assist with loading/unloading and collaborate effectively with a drivers mate when required.

Requirements:

• Full Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Comfortable and experienced with both Class 1 and Class 2 vehicles.
• Positive, flexible attitude and reliable approach to work.
• Experience in both trunking and delivery driving is preferred.
