Join our dedicated team at the Starting Point Hub, where we support individuals facing challenges such as substance misuse, homelessness, mental health issues, offending behaviour, and domestic or sexual violence. As a Night Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing person-centred support within a multi-disciplinary team, helping individuals move towards stable accommodation.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Assist individuals in a hostel setting to engage with relevant services.
  • Record and update detailed support plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Conduct one-on-one sessions with clients to address their immediate needs and crises.
  • Develop effective working relationships with both voluntary and statutory services.
  • Review and address obstacles to progress with partners and clients.
  • Manage challenging behaviour and communicate risks appropriately.
  • Develop exit strategies for individuals based on their progress and readiness.
  • Identify triggers and warning signs to collaboratively plan with individuals for their safety and well-being.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in casework and support planning.
  • Experience of partnership working.
  • Ability to identify and manage challenging behaviours.
  • Ability to set realistic goals and prioritise tasks.
  • Willingness to obtain or enhance qualifications and training related to the role.
  • Understanding of the Data Protection Act 2018.
  • Desirable: Training in safeguarding, housing law, mental health, substance misuse, domestic abuse, and trauma.
