Elevation recruitment are excited to be recruiting for an Underwriter for one of our partnership companies in Doncaster. The Underwriting team works to support dealer partners and end customers by reviewing and processing all finance proposals. All offers need to be within the companies credit risk parameters to ensure business sustainability. The focus of this role is to make the right decisions to always ensure great outcomes for both the dealer and customer whilst offering exceptional service at all times. The right candidate for this role will be self motivated, with excellent organisation and planning skills with a great eye for detail.
Key responsibilities of an Underwriter:
* Liaising with motor dealer partners to ensure the outcome and decisions of proposals have been underwritten
* Processing customer proposals and underwriting them in line with the company's procedures and policies
* Processing all customer documentation
* Ensuring all deals are in line with the companies policy as well as being suitable for the customer
* Operation of the company proposal system, always ensuring it adheres to company standards and audits
* Processing customer security checks and payment funds to all dealer partners
* General administration tasks related to new business
* Record any regulatory incidents in line with the company's policy
Skills and experience needed for an Underwriter:
* Excellent administration skills including all Microsoft packages
* Great written and verbal communication skills
* Experience in decision making
* Ability to use and interpret information and data efficiently
* Knowledge of FCA regulations relating to compliance, data protection, anti money laundering, consumer credit directive or consumer credit act
* Previous experience in an underwriting position would be desirable
