Skills People Group arelooking for a highly organised and driven Academy Manager to oversee two Skills Academies based in Doncaster and Worksop, delivering outstanding learning experiences and operational performance. This role is responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service for learners and employers from first enquiry to successful completion, while managing day-to-day academy operations, staff performance, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the operational management of two academies, ensuring high-quality teaching, learning and learner support.

  • Drive academy performance through strong quality indicators such as retention, achievement, learner progress and satisfaction.

  • Manage, motivate and develop sales, admin and instructional teams to deliver excellent results.

  • Plan and monitor staff timetables, resources and budgets to meet delivery requirements.

  • Use data systems (e.g., OneFile) to track learner progress, identify intervention needs and produce performance reports.

  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, Health & Safety, GDPR and organisational policies.

  • Build strong internal and external relationships, including employers, partners and stakeholders.

  • Promote continuous improvement, quality assurance and a positive learner and staff culture.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven leadership/management experience within an education or training environment.

  • Demonstrated success in improving achievement rates and learner experience.

  • Strong people-management skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.

  • Confident analysing data to inform decisions and drive performance.

  • Excellent communication, organisational and decision-making abilities.

  • Experience of managing change, budgets and operational KPIs.

  • Knowledge of quality assurance processes and e-learning/e-assessment tools.

  • Understanding of Health & Safety and safeguarding requirements.

Qualifications

  • Maths and English GCSE (Grade C or equivalent).

  • Relevant professional qualification.
