HR Manager

Part Time (24 Hours)

The HR Manager is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative and HR support across the business. You will be overseeing key HR functions, coordinating recruitment processes, and ensuring the smooth running of employee lifecycle procedures. The role requires a high level of confidentiality, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Support and manage informal and formal employee relations issues, including disciplinary cases, grievance procedures, performance concerns, and investigations ensuring all matters are handled sensitively, confidentially, and in line with company policies and employment law.
  • Conduct confidential employee conversations and provide support in relation to personal and work-related issues.
  • Ensure HR processes are compliant with employment law.
  • Management of HR Portal and HR Policies
  • Management of apprenticeships and work experience placements.
  • Diary management
  • Full Internal recruitment lifecycle.
  • Prepare and post job advertisements.
  • Management of apprenticeships and work experience placements.
  • Book travel and accommodation as required.

Skills and Experience:

  • Qualified by experience or CIPD Level 5 qualification is essential.
  • Proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally with exposure to both operational and strategic HR activities.
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Experience managing end to end employee lifecycle processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and maintain confidentiality.
  • Confident in handling sensitive HR issues, including employee relations matters such as grievances, flexible working requests, and maternity arrangements.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and HR systems/portals.
  • Able to work autonomously and use sound judgment to make decisions or escalate issues where appropriate.
  • A proactive, approachable team player who contributes to a positive and professional work environment.

This vacancy is based on 24 hours per week. Flexible on days/hours.
