About The Role

We're looking for a talented and driven Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a high-performing maintenance team for our client based in Doncaster.

As a key member of the engineering department, you'll help keep the automated warehouse systems running efficiently - from conveyors and robotics to pneumatics and hydraulics. You'll carry out both reactive repairs and planned preventative maintenance, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum performance across our fast-paced distribution environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on mechanical systems, conveyors, pneumatics, hydraulics, and robotic equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults across a variety of automated machinery.
  • Assist in the analysis, inspection, and continuous improvement of engineering systems and processes.
  • Support the completion and review of risk assessments and safety inspections.
  • Work safely and confidently at heights of up to 20m (training provided).
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards and contribute to a culture of safety and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Level 3 qualified (Apprentice-trained) Maintenance Engineer - ideally with both mechanical and electrical skills.
  • Proven experience maintaining and repairing PLC-controlled machinery in an industrial or warehouse environment.
  • Strong understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding abilities.
  • Confident communicator with good PC skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working shifts, including weekends, in a busy operational setting.
