About the Role:
As a Semi-Skilled Engineer, you'll support the engineering and maintenance team, gaining hands-on experience with a range of food production machinery and equipment, while developing your skills and knowledge as an Engineer.
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday (rotating 05:30-14:30 & 14:30-23:30)
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks across the site as a Semi-Skilled Engineer
- Carry out and support planned and reactive maintenance and engineering activities
- Support the engineering team to ensure machinery and equipment meet site standards and maintenance requirements
- Follow all Health & Safety and Food Safety procedures while working as an Engineer
- Help with projects and continuous improvement initiatives as a Semi-Skilled Engineer
Skills & Experience:
- Recent apprenticeship or NVQ Level 2+ in mechanical or electrical engineering
- Some practical maintenance experience on manufacturing machinery and equipment is desirable
- Willingness to learn and develop as an Engineer within the team
- Proactive approach, able to work effectively with colleagues in engineering and production
