Marks Sattin is proud to be partnering with a leading organisation based in Doncaster to recruit a Senior Payroll Advisor.

As a Senior Payroll Advisor, you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality, end-to-end payroll service across the business.

Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring payroll operations are accurate, compliant, and delivered with a strong focus on customer service and continuous improvement.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced payroll professional to join a dynamic and supportive team, offering hybrid working and a competitive salary of £42,000.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and process weekly and monthly payroll transactions, including month-end reporting and reconciliations.
  • Provide expert advice on payroll and PAYE matters to colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll legislation and internal policies.
  • Support the annual pay review, bonus processes, and benefits administration (PMI, Life Assurance, SAYE).
  • Administer pension schemes and ensure Auto Enrolment compliance.
  • Oversee the production of P11Ds and maintain up-to-date payroll process documentation.
  • Contribute to payroll projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coach and support junior payroll team members.

What We're Looking For

  • Relevant payroll qualification (CIPP or equivalent experience).
  • Strong knowledge of UK payroll and pension legislation.
  • Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced payroll environment.
  • Proficiency in payroll systems (ideally Workday) and Excel.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented team player with a passion for process improvement.
