Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently working with a Doncaster based company that are looking to appoint an experienced payroll professional, as they look to bring their payroll function in house.This is a fab opportunity for someone to really get stuck in and help build the payroll function from scratch whilst implementing processes and having their say!What's on offer?Benefits on this role include hybrid working (2-3 days per week), competitive salary, flexible working hours and study support if required!Key responsibilities:

  • Processing weekly payroll including calculating wages, overtime and shift allowances 
  • Ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations
  • Pensions - auto enrolment
  • Statutory payments including SSP, SMP, SSP and holiday pay calculations
  • Updating and maintaining accurate employee records
  • Generating payroll reports for management 
  • Assisting with audit
  • Performing monthly payroll reconciliations 
  • Undertake additional financial tasks to support the Finance Manager
  • Stay updated with employment law, regulations and legislations

Person specification:

  • Experience within payroll - 5+ years
  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, tax codes and pension
  • Experience working with payroll systems and Excel
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
