We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Operative for one of the UK's leading manufacturers of aluminium products. This is an exciting opportunity for you to forge a career within the manufacturing industry with an established and progressive company.
The Maintenance Operative Role;
- Learns directly from current Maintenance Mechanics on how to perform mechanical troubleshooting and repair of machinery and mechanical equipment such as, Gear boxes, Electric Motors, Hydraulic Pumps / Valves, Pneumatic / Hydraulic cylinders, Cranes, Automatic Saws, Conveyor / Belt systems, Schematic and blue print reading, flame cutting and welding/fabrication.
- Repairs and replaces defective parts
- Consistently lubricates and cleans parts
- Performs and lockout/tagout procedures according to company policy
- Assists Mechanics with new and replacement equipment
- Performs preventative maintenance with regular inspections
- Working on a rotating shift pattern - 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm
The Candidate;
- Previous maintenance experience beneficial
- Highly motivated and driven
- Good communication skills as working within a team
- Ability to comply with Health and Safety on site
