Job Description - Children's Support Worker

Salary - 28,176 - 31,101 per annum

Where - Doncaster

As a Residential Care Officer, you will provide high-quality care and support to children and young people, helping them develop independence, build confidence, and create positive futures. You will work closely with a team of professionals, ensuring each child feels safe, supported, and heard. There will be an expectation to work in a variety of settings including residential homes, emergency accommodation, disability services and short breaks, which will contribute to the protection, safeguarding and promotion of the education, health and well-being of children and young people.

Duties and Responsibilities

Core responsibilities and duties will include:

  1. To promote, safeguard and protect the welfare of each child or young person. To provide care to children and young people in respect of meeting their physical, emotional, and social needs. To support and promote a child's education and transition to independence and adulthood.
  2. Promote and maintain an enabling atmosphere in which Children and Young People can prosper and achieve.
  3. Participate in the admission of Children and Young people and the monitoring, evaluation and review of their progress.
  4. Actively contribute towards overall care through Care Planning and link working, formulating, participating, and involving Children and Young People in their individual care plan.
