We are seeking a skilled professional to join our Children's Assessment team in Doncaster. As an Assessment Social Worker, you will conduct thorough assessments to identify the needs and strengths of children and their families, ensuring that appropriate support and interventions are put in place. You will collaborate closely with families, schools, and other agencies to gather comprehensive information and develop effective care plans.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Conduct detailed assessments of children and their families to determine their needs and strengths.
  • Develop and implement effective care plans in collaboration with families and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain regular communication with families, schools, and other agencies to ensure comprehensive support.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and make necessary adjustments.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of service strategies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • BA or MA in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work, or an equivalent recognised qualification.
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience working with children and families, preferably as a qualified social worker.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with children, families, colleagues, and partner agencies.
  • Ability to analyse information effectively and produce high-quality assessments.
  • Commitment to supporting families in resolving their challenges and enabling children to meet their potential.
